Chris B asked:
Whenever I open my Second Life game it crashes a couple minutes later. The screen gets all pixelated , like waves of pixels and I have to restart my computer. I never used to do this. Whats wrong? I reinstalled the game. Should I make another character? Please help.

This is related to your video card. Update the drivers for the video card to the latest version on the manufacturer’s website.
If you do this, and the issue continues to occur, then it sounds like your video card may not be compatible with second life. Here is how to check:
1.) Go to for help in determining the Graphics card that you have.
2.) Go to the Second Life System Requirements page at and verify that your video card is supported. There is also a list here of cards that are NOT supported.
If your video card is supported, and has the latest drivers, yet you continue to crash, it is a good idea to use the Second Life website’s ‘Support’ section to contact Linden Labs and let them know all of the information you found in step 1, so that they can add support for the video card in the future.
A video card compatible with sL usually runs for around $100, and is WELL worth the investment, as it makes ALL programs / games / movies on your computer look MUCH better and load alot faster; if your card is not supported, you may want to look into the cards that the System Requirements page states are compatible.
Hope this helps
